The Colliery Spoil Biodiversity Initiative has great ambitions to engage with local communities and educate key stakeholders in the management and conservation of colliery spoil sites in the South Wales Valleys. Such ambitions are not achievable, however, without financial support. To date, no funding has been received to deliver these ambitions, with much of the success so far having been achieved through tireless voluntary effort.
